John F. Kennedy was born here in Brookline, Mass. in 1917. Brookline was a suburb of Boston. His father Joe Kennedy was just starting to earn his wealth and his small family lived here the first few years where his first 4 of 9 children would be born.

This is the house in which President John F. Kennedy was born. After his assassination his mother, Rose Kennedy bought the house and fixed it up to her recollection of how it looked when her young family lived there 50 years earlier. She then presented it as a museum to the National Park Service. Making it the John Fitzgerald Kennedy National Historic Site

A picture of the birthplace painted green, as it looked when JFK was born. Rose Kennedy had the house painted gray before she handed it to the National Park Service. In 2012 they painted it gray to respect the wishes of the Presidents mother.

This historic marker was placed in front of the house after JFK's Inauguration in 1961.

Next to the room in which President Kennedy was born, He was born in the bed closest to the window

The Kennedy family didn't spend much time in the kitchen since they had hired help do all the cooking and cleaning. However as a kid, the future President was allowed to spend time in here talking with the "help". Since he was such a sick kid, and usually wasn't healthy enough to play with the other kids.

JFK's second home. Just a few blocks away from his birthplace in Brookline, Mass., a suburb of Boston. A few more of the Kennedy kids were born here, including future Senator and Attorney General Bobby Kennedy.

The former St. Aidan's Catholic Church in Brookline, Mass. Also just a few blocks from the JFK birthplace. This is the place that the young Kennedy family attended services and the future President was baptised. The building has been converted into condo's.

Elsewhere in Brookline, Mass. is the Kennedy family gravesite. Whereas the more well known Kennedy's (John, Jackie, Bobby and Teddy) are buried in Arlington National Cemetery. Some of the other Kennedy's are buried here at Holyhood Cemetery, including JFK's parents Joe and Rose, sister Rosemary, 2 of Bobby's sons and 2 of Teddy's kids.

Kennedy family home "Kennedy Compound" Hyannisport, MA. JFK's father first started renting this house in 1926, then bought it 2 years later. So President Kennedy would spend a lot of his time here throughout his life, both in childhood and as an adult. This was the headquarters of his successful Presidential campaign of 1960. After being elected he used this as a summer White House. This house belonged to Joe Kennedy and as his children grew up, many of them would buy houses nearby. Which gave this area the nickname "Kennedy Compound", With Joe's house here acting as the main house. The house is now in the hands of a the Edward M. Kennedy Institute for the United States Senate. So hopefully it will become a museum someday soon in which we can all tour.

Beach if front of Kennedy Compound

My kids and I enjoyed walking on the beach in front of the Compound where President Kennedy would of spent a lot of time through the years. I kept thinking "if this beach could talk"

In 1956, then Senator John F. Kennedy bought this house at 111 Irving Ave. in Hyannisport, not very far from the main house of the Kennedy Compound. Since President Kennedy's death the house has remained in Kennedy hands. JFK Jr. lived here for awhile, so did his wife, until there death in a plane crash in 1999. The house now belongs to the Presidents nephew Edward Kennedy Jr.

The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum, Boston, Mass.

This is one of the cooler things that they had here. They actual equipment used during the Kennedy - Nixon debate of 1960.

I had to get a picture with it.

School book depository in Dallas. Lee Harvey Oswald shot Kennedy here from the building as Kennedy was riding past in the car.

 The white marble pedestal in the center of the picture was where the Zubruder film was filmed from.

This picture is taken from the pedestal in which the famous Zubruder film was filmed. From there I am looking over to the fence in which it is speculated that the fatal shot came from behind the grassy knoll.

The X on the road marks the spot of the fatal shot. I had to be quick about this since traffic is continuous.

It is kind of a surreal feeling to visit Dealey Plaza in Dallas. We've all seen the Zubruder film of the assassination. So even though you may have never been there before. It is a familiar atmosphere.

    The JFK gravesite is probably the most visited of any President. I have now visited all 38 Presidential gravesites. And I have only had to wait my turn when visiting 5 of them. Washington, Jefferson, Lincoln, Kennedy and Reagan.


    He was our youngest elected President, and first President born in the 20th century. One thing is for sure, his assassination changed the course of history, and it is interesting to speculate how things may of been different if he hadn't been killed.
